Summer Social
Tony Forster Memorial Summer Social San Juan Capistrano Saturday, August 21, 2010, 5:00 - 8:00 PM This year’s Summer Social returns to the O’Neill Museum, in San Juan Capistrano. The dinner buffet will be served by EL Sociedad Histórica del San Juan Capistrano (Tony Foreter's Brother). Tony’s family originally owned much of the land and founded what we now know as San Juan Capistrano. This event will serve as our annual summer gathering and a chance to remember our good friend. For the beer drinkers, Bayhawk Ales, thanks to Carl Zappa, will be on hand providing his award winning beer. Bayhawk Ales is Orange County's largest microbrewery and began operation in late 1994 with their first beer being poured in February '95. They are a public corporation with over 1300 local and out of state stockholders. Bayhawk specializes in brewing House Beers for many fine restaurants and taverns throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Texas, and Colorado. For wine drinkers - the Board decided to have an "honor bar," so that the cost of the wine would not be spread over all the attendees. We will ask $2 per glass and Rich will do his best to find wine under such constraints. The location is wonderful and is very accessible to the nucleus of the WPSOC members. The museum is located close to the 5 Freeway, just west of the San Juan Capistrano Mission. Click here to order your tickets Click here to find your membership status |
